Escape from Deep Rough

 
Step 1: Lower Handle
Slide your hands down on the grip and lower the handle to add loft to the club.

Step 2: Weight Shift
Load 60% of your weight to the left side of your body.
Step 3: Hinge Wrists
On your backswing, hinge the wrists as early as possible. This will give you a descending blow with the heel of the club going into the ground (driving the ball out of the rough).

Step 4: Hang on Tightly
As you move through impact, hang onto the club tightly. This will ensure you keep the face open.
