  1. Shawn, I watch every video that you send on Wednesday’s and actually forward them to a couple of friends. I know that it will help my game this coming season.

  2. Shawn – love the way you explain all aspects on how to improve your golf game. This is no different and excellent drill as always.

    Thank you

  4. Hi Shawn,
Great tip! There is an old saying once an opera singer starts out on a wrong note the rest is all down hill. I would like to ask you how does the swing takeaway differ from the putting back swing?
    Best regards!

  5. Shawn, I have a strong left hand grip and have a tendency to get the club too far inside on the takeaway. Do you recommend taking the club away with quiet hands and controlled by the left shoulder or do you simply swing the arms away and cock the club up? This fault has plagued me for years….

When I am playing my best, I make a nice turn back, keep my right shoulder quiet and swing. However, when my takeaway is too inside, this swing thought does not work.

    • Jeff– I would recommend that you follow “Train Your Takeaway” and not deviate from it. And eventually chagne your grip if you want to have more consistency.
