Year Round Performance Training
Building Life Champions Over the years, I have had the opportunity train with and learn from the greatest coaches, teachers, and leaders in sport performance training as well as coaching for the sport of golf. From these experiences, I have built my own training academy to incorporate Golf Performance Training that includes a combination of teaching, coaching, competition, and training within a team atmosphere. [scrollGallery id=1] Golf Performance Training provides a structured training environment where athletes receive individualized instruction alongside other evolving golf students. Students compete, train and leverage each other’s performance, well beyond just their own. The academy is designed to help the students identify their strengths and build on them while understanding and sharpening areas that need development. We accomplish this by reinforcing that a student’s strengths are his or her own unique talents, first and foremost. We train on three different levels. First — students train to learn. Second — students train to compete. Third — students train to win. This is the champions formula that maximizes Teaching, Coaching, and Training at the highest performance level. While each training day is different, each session encompasses a different aspect of full swing, short game, distance wedges, putting training, on-course practice, and the most important element–mental training. During a training day, students have particular stations at which they begin, and goals which they must reach before they can move on to the next station. Within each performance segment, students rotate through different training drills, based on their individual strengths and areas for development. Students also spend time on the golf course as a compliment to the training and coaching regimen. Since the inception of our training club in February 2004, our team members have won 1400 individual titles in local, regional, and national tournaments. 100% of our Elite graduating seniors have been offered golf scholarships
This training is designed to help students learn to play the game at a higher level. Our goal is to teach, train, and coach you the skills, knowledge, and confidence to reach your goals. Specific attention is given to swing development, short game, course management, and mental training to develop a sharp, positive, confident and competitive attitude.

Training To Learn As a young golfer or if you are aspiring to learn the game, the only possible avenue to success is to rely on proven methods and solid training techniques. And its not accomplished in a one week summer camp. We realize the importance of constant teaching, training, and coaching. That’s why we created the SHGP Summer Academy Series. Each series last three consecutive weeks with 3-training sessions a week. And a total of 14 totals hours in each series. If your wanting to learn the game or take your current skills to a higher level, then SHGP should be your Academy of choice. Our Summer Series has combined the “Shawn Humphries Approach” with our academy training philosophy. Students work on developing sound swing mechanics, mental conditioning, training drills, and course simulated training that are all essential elements of the SHGP experience. SHGP builds and environment for students “training to learn.”
